Editorial policy

Stellar News Chronicle aims to make astronomy easier to understand without making the subject sound more certain, more dramatic or more universal than it is. We value clear language, honest limits and visible corrections.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements against appropriate reference material before publication and distinguish established explanations from interpretation or open questions. We try to name the scope of a claim, explain important terms and avoid implying that a simplified picture is the whole story.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any paid, sponsored or partner material will be plainly labelled where it appears; a partnership does not guarantee editorial coverage, a favorable description or a particular conclusion.

Corrections and illustrations

If a reader spots an error, they can use the Contact page to identify the passage and explain the concern. We review correction requests and make appropriate changes clear to readers. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when an image is illustrative rather than a documentary depiction, we identify it accordingly.
